Abstract

The main aim of this research is to validate a scale for measuring the effects of INTERNET on FAMILY VALUES. In this survey study, data were collected administering a questionnaire which included 50 items in likert scale. The sample included 384 students of Islamic Azad University Roudehen branch randomly selected using stratified and simple random sampling method. SPSS software was implemented to analyze the descriptive and inferential statistics. Alpha coefficient for variable was calculated to be 0.90 at first but it turned to be 0.95 deleting item 16. PRINCIPAL COMPONENT ANALYSIS was done using VARIMAX ROTATION to receive 7 factors including: sincere atmosphere, sensational relationship and group discussion, acceptance rate in INTERNET, parents’ awareness of their children’s using computer, INTERNET addiction, FAMILY VALUES, and satisfaction of being anonymous.
