Title

A COMPARATIVE LOOK AT SATIRE AND SATIRIZING IN IRAN AND ARAB LITERATURE

Pages

  35-49

Abstract

The present article is a comparison between Iran and Arab’s SATIRE. Obeid Zakani’s SATIRE  as an Iranian SATIRE has been compared to an Arabic one.SATIRE is a kind of prelude in which we can taunt, defeat or reveal someone’s weak points easily. In ARABIC LITERATURE, the poet tries to defeat a person or tribe by using SATIRE in his poetry. SATIRE’s aim is not “laugh’’; it is a means of expressing and transferring the aim of writer to the reader in a better way.
