Abstract

The present study sought to explore the relationship of participatory management to ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT and MENTAL HEALTH of high school teachers in Darab city. The sample of this descriptive-correlational study included all 250 teachers in the academic year of 2010-2011. The data were collected using three questionnaires of participatory management (r=0.85), ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT (r=0.90) and MENTAL HEALTH (r=0.89). To analyze the data, descriptive and inferential (Pearson correlation, and regression analysis) statistics were utilized in this study. Data analysis revealed that there was a significantly positive relationship among all three variables. From among participatory management dimensions, decision-making could significantly predict ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT and MENTAL HEALTH.
