Abstract: 

This study aimed to examine the relationship between high-school principals’ Philosophic Mindedness (PM) and the teachers’ morale to accept Management Education Model (MEM) in Amoul boys’ high schools in the academic year 2012-2013. In fact, the main purpose is to find supportive evidence for the feasibility of the Management Education Model from the teachers’ view and its relation to the degree of the principals’ philosophic mindedness. The statistical population consisted of 86 principals and 850 teachers of Amoul high schools from which 270 teachers and 60 principals were selected drawing on Morgan’s Table. Research instruments were the PM questionnaire (a=0.81), and a researcher-designed questionnaire of teachers’ morale in accepting MEM (a=0.78). In order to analyze the data, a use was made of Pearson’s correlation and Regression analysis. The correlation analyses indicated that there was a positive relationship between the principals’ PM with the teachers’ morale in accepting MEM. Further, there were positive relationships among the principals’ PM dimensions, i.e. Comprehensiveness, Flexibility, and Penetration with teachers’ morale to accept MEM. In addition, multiple regressions revealed that the Comprehensiveness (b=0.43) could statistically predict the teachers’ morale.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research was to study the relationship between organizational excellence enablers and organizational agility capabilities. The statistical population included 1745 faculty members at Universities in Isfahan. A sample of 312 participants was selected using random stratified sampling method. Two questionnaires of EFQM (2010) with 25 items and organizational agility capabilities with 25 items developed based on Zhang and Sharifi’s (2000) theory were utilized in this study. The reliability coefficients of the questionnaires were estimated to be a=0.93 and a=0.92 respectively. The data was analyzed using inferential statistics (correlation coefficient, multivariate stepwise regression). The results of correlational and regression analyses suggested that the best predictors of organizational agility capabilities were people, processes, products & services, leadership, partnership, resources, and strategy.

Abstract: 

This study aimed at examining the relationship among organizational culture, creativity, and change among the principals of Shiraz elementary schools. This correlational study included all principals of elementary schools in the first district of Shiraz Education Organization. A sample of 80 principals (40 from girl schools and 40 from boy schools) was randomly selected. They were administered three questionnaires of Torrance’s Creativity Questionnaire (1990), Hafsted’s Organizational Culture Questionnaire (2001), and Namdar’s Change and Innovation Questionnaire (2003) with approved validity and reliability. The results suggested that there was a significant relationship between the dimensions of organizational culture and creativity. Further, it was indicated that uncertainty, avoidance, individualism and masculinity could account for the principals' creativity. Female principals also were more creative than male principals.

Abstract: 

The aim of the present study was to determine the factors influencing the work alienation among teachers in technical colleges and professional schools in an attempt to help to reduce the gap. The study was of structural equation type. Because of the lack of a comprehensive understanding of alienation, centralization and formalization, attributes of work autonomy, job variety, challenge and creative environment, meaningful work, self-expression, the quality of work relationships, and understanding of justice were explored as explanatory factors through structural equation modeling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. It was administered on a sample of 436 respondents randomly sampled from a population (n=492) of teachers at colleges and vocational school in Guilan province. The results revealed that there was alienation in the sample with an index smaller than the expected mean. The most important and most effective predictors of alienation, in order, were lack of understanding of work, and then inability for self-expression, unsuitability of challenging and creative atmosphere, low quality work relationships, and a focus on the structural features of the organization.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of spiritual intelligence to the quality of work life and maturity of teachers of the primary schools in Shiraz. The study involved all the primary school teachers (n=1288) of the second district of Shiraz in the academic year of 2012-2013. Using stratified sampling, 305 teachers were sampled. In order to collect data, three questionnaires of the spiritual intelligence, quality of work life, and maturity of teachers were used. The content validity of questionnaires and their Cronbach's Alpha coefficients were examined and approved. Pearson's correlation and multiple regression were run to analyze the data. The results indicated that spiritual intelligence and maturity indexes of the teachers were above the average levels, and their quality of work life was moderate. It was also revealed that there was a significantly positive relation among there variables of interest, that is, spiritual intelligence, quality of work life, and maturity of teachers. Additionally, it was suggested that spiritual intelligence could significantly predict the variance of the teachers’ work life quality and maturity.

Abstract: 

In today's rapid changes, successful organizations will be able to adapt to these changes creatively. Universities and higher education institutions are no exceptions. So, in order to achieve creativity and innovation, these institutions must try to share knowledge and transfer it to the society and the younger generations. As such, this study attempted to examine the effects of infrastructural and process dimensions of Knowledge Management on Innovation Development. Based on the literature and experts’ views the Infrastructural and Process Dimensions of Knowledge Management were identified, and their effects on technical and administrative innovations were evaluated. The population of this study comprised all faculty members of Yazd University. A sample was drawn using stratifies sampling method. Test results revealed that there were significant relationships among all dimensions of infrastructure (technology, structure, and culture), knowledge management processes (knowledge creation, knowledge capture, storage), and innovation (technical and administrative). Regression analysis also indicated that culture and technology had strongest effects on the development of innovation.

Abstract: 

The main objective of this research was to evaluate virtual education methods and tools from the point of view of faculty members of Islamic Azad University of Khodabandeh in order to improve teaching quality and to propose suitable substructures. The study sample included all faculty members (n=36) of the university. Data were collected through a researcher-made questionnaire. The data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicated that there was a statistically positive relationship between virtual education methods and tools and teaching-learning quality. In general, it was suggested that virtual education, together with teaching process can help teachers improve teaching quality.

Abstract: 

The present study aimed to investigate the effect of TRIZ training on the enhancement of entrepreneurship spirit among the managers and staff (n=110) of R & D units in Science and Technology Park and Semnan University Incubator. The study involved a convenience sample of 70 managers and staff. They were assigned to control and experimental groups based on whether they attended the TRIZ workshop (16 hours). Data were collected using the entrepreneurship Questionnaire (Aghaee, 2006) before and after the workshop. A comparison of the control and experimental groups indicated that TRIZ training impacted on the creativity, independence seeking, and entrepreneurship sprit of the respondents. TRIZ training also affected the locus of control, tolerance of ambiguity, and risk taking of the staff.

Abstract: 

This study examined the relationship between organizational culture and knowledge management in Islamic Azad University and the significance of each of the four components of compatibility, participation, flexibility in knowledge management. The instruments were two questionnaires of organizational culture and knowledge management with reliability indexes of 0.89 and 0.87 respectively. A total of 162 respondents from among all Sari branch staff were selected randomly. The results indicated that there was a significant correlation of 0.77 between the two main variables of organizational culture and knowledge management. In addition, there was a correlated relationship between the components of organizational culture (partnership (r=0.60), organizational flexibility (r=0.75), mission (r=0.69), and organizational adaptation (r=0.49)) and knowledge management. Regression analyses also revealed the contribution of each component of the organizational culture to knowledge management (organizational flexibility (0.57), mission (0.5), organizational compatibility (0.4), and partnerships (0.2).

Abstract: 

This research aimed at exploring the relationship among social intelligence, civil and educational behavior, and educational effectiveness of graduate students in Bu-Ali Sina University. The study included a total of 2702 graduate students. Using stratified sampling method 336 participants were selected. The study involved three questionnaires of social intelligence, civil and educational behavior, and educational effectiveness. The data were analyzed both descriptively and inferentially (Pearson correlation, t-test, and regression analysis). The results revealed that social intelligence was below the average level, but both civil and educational behavior, and educational effectiveness were above the average level. In addition, all variables of interest were moderately correlated. Multiple regression analysis further indicated that social awareness and information processing as two components of social intelligence could significantly predict educational effectiveness. From among the components of civil and educational behavior, observing regulations and intimate relationships could significantly account for educational effectiveness.

Abstract: 

The aim of the present study was to determine the impact of educational action research training on the teaching-learning process. The present causal-comparative research included all the elementary schools in Tehran. More precisely this study involved a sample of 120 untrained teachers selected randomly and another sample of trained teachers who attended action research training in the school year of 2007-8. The first sample was given a fifty-item questionnaire and two open-ended questions, whereas the second sample was administered only the same questionnaires without open-ended questions. In order to capture more accurate measures of the dependent variables, the participants of the second group also participated in an interview and the relevant documents were analyzed. At the end, their performance was analyzed and juxtaposed. Data analysis using both descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, graphs, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe test) were performed. Questionnaire data analysis, interviews, and documents indicated that the action research training had a significant impact on using instructional materials in teaching-learning process. The training appeared to have had no significant effect on other dependent variables of interest including teachers’ knowledge, teacher involvement, student involvement, use of effective education methods to solve training and educational problems. In other words, it did not have any significant impact on the teachers’ teaching-learning process.

Abstract: 

The present study sought to explore the relationship of participatory management to organizational commitment and mental health of high school teachers in Darab city. The sample of this descriptive-correlational study included all 250 teachers in the academic year of 2010-2011. The data were collected using three questionnaires of participatory management (r=0.85), organizational commitment (r=0.90) and mental health (r=0.89). To analyze the data, descriptive and inferential (Pearson correlation, and regression analysis) statistics were utilized in this study. Data analysis revealed that there was a significantly positive relationship among all three variables. From among participatory management dimensions, decision-making could significantly predict organizational commitment and mental health.
