Abstract

 This study aims to analyze the effect of metacognition and EDUCATIONAL PROGRESS. The research was done by descriptive of correlation type method. Statistical community included all Islamic Azad university of Sari student more than 9543 STUDENTS. According to Krejcie & Morgan table, 363 STUDENTS were selected as statistical sample. By using categorical random method based on faculty (Humanities, Technical- Engineering, mediacal) to collect information. Data collecting instrument in this study has been metacognitive strategies questionnaire and its validity was verified. The questionnaire reliability based on cronbach α coefficient was achieved 0.87. Besides, which is considered as a proper suitable value for implantation. by achieving the total average as a basis for EDUCATIONAL PROGRESS, the necessary information is produced. Descriptive statistics method, (such as tables, diagrams and charts, average values and etc.) were chosen. Pearson correlation test, regression & were used with SPSS software. There is a significant relation between using metacognitive strategies & each one of its components (knowledge & self-control, knowledge & controlling process-planning, knowledge & controlling process-valuation, knowledge & controlling process-regulating) and EDUCATIONAL PROGRESS utilizing each one of the strategies results in increasing academic performance.
