Abstract

The research purpose is to investigate the relation between family affective atmosphere, SELF CONCEPT, SELF ESTEEM and SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS and the establishment of young individuals’ identity. Therefore 156 examiners were selected through random sampling in 3 lower, middle and upper SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS among from young individuals of Islam Shahr province and were then tested. The results revealed that those benefiting from congenial family atmosphere, positive SELF CONCEPT, high SELF ESTEEM, and upper SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS proved to be better than the others concerning the establishment of the identity. It was also revealed that one's gender and being a student or not has no impact on the establishment of individuals’ identity and identity establishing would increase as one grows older.
