Title

THE STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Abstract

 The purpose of this study is to find relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE indicators and ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE of Islamic Azad University of Islamshahr.The sample population of this study includes 400 individual who were selected by multi-step cultural sampling method. (200 male and 200 female students) and were given a Bar-Oven emotional test questionnaire. The findings indicate that the co-efficient correlation calculated is significant and positive for EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE. Also, the results of step by step analysis of regression indicate that among the EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE indicators, OPTIMISM, and STRESS TO TOLERANCE, and PROBLEM SOLVING are considered to be significant predicators for ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE.
