Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the MOTIVATIONAL STRUCTURE of patients diagnosed with SOMATOFORM DISORDER and normal population; thus, a sample of 60 individuals (30 individuals suffering from somatoform who referred to Erfan hospital and a private clinic for SOMATOFORM DISORDER therapy, and 30 individuals without the mentioned disorder) were selected through the accessibility mode and were tested with regard to MOTIVATIONAL STRUCTURE. Results analyzed by covariance analysis demonstrated that patients suffering from SOMATOFORM DISORDER have maladaptive MOTIVATIONAL STRUCTURE.
