Abstract

This study investigated the effects of SOCIAL SKILLS on ANXIETY and SELF-ESTEEM among second grade girl' s high school in Baghmalek. Reserrch sample include 92 students selected through multiple stages randomly and divided in to two groups of experiimental and control groups. Instruments included Ketel's Anexiety Questionnarie, coppes smith's SELF-ESTEEM, and the Handbook of SOCIAL SKILLS. Reaserch design was pre-test and post-test and data were analyzed by means of description statistics, variance analysis and MANOVA. Results revealed that teaching SOCIAL SKILLS decreased high school student' s ANXIETY level and increased their SELF-ESTEEM.
