Abstract

The aim of current study was to compare the MENTAL HEALTH characteristics and DESPAIR in before RETIREMENT and retire staff of an industrial organization in Khuzestan. Accordingly, 248 staff including 150 before RETIREMENT and 98 retires through random sampling method and was assessed using a SCL-90 -R questionnaire (symptom check list 90-Rivised) and beck DESPAIR Inventory. In order to analyze the data, multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), independent- samples T test at the meaningful level (p<0.0001).The results showed that there was significant difference between MENTAL HEALTH, In addition, there was no significant difference between before RETIREMENT and retire staff in the DESPAIR.
