Abstract

The purpose of present study was investigating the relationships between FORGIVENESS, PERFECTIONISM and INTIMACY with MARITAL SATISFACTION in injured veterans and their spouses in city of Ahvaz. The sample existed of 600 persons (300 injured veterans and 300 spouses) which selected through cluster random sampling in 1389. Family FORGIVENESS Questionnaire, Ahvaz PERFECTIONISM Scale, INTIMACY Scale and MARITAL SATISFACTION Questionnaire were used for collecting data. This study was a correlation research and results indicated that there were significant positive correlation between FORGIVENESS and MARITAL SATISFACTION (r=0.49). Also there was positive correlation between INTIMACY and MARITAL SATISFACTION (r=0.27) and negative correlation found between PERFECTIONISM and MARITAL SATISFACTION (r=-0.24). Funding suggested that there was multicorrelation between variables and FORGIVENESS was the most predictive variable for MARITAL SATISFACTION. The significant level in this study was p<0.0001.
