Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between DIFFICULTY IN EMOTION REGULATION, ATTACHMENT STYLES and INTIMACY and MARITAL SATISFACTION in couples of Ahwaz Steel Company. The sample included 180 couples (90 employed women with their husbands, 90 employed men with their wives) who were selected stratified. Emotion regulation, ATTACHMENT STYLES, INTIMACY and MARITAL SATISFACTION questioners were used for data collection. This study is of correlation type and data analysis was performed using Pearson Correlation Coefficient and multivariable regression. Analysis results showed that at significance level of 0.001, there is a negative and significant relationship between emotion regulation and MARITAL SATISFACTION and a positive and significant relationship between INTIMACY and MARITAL SATISFACTION. Results from multivariable regression showed that there is a multiple relationship between DIFFICULTY IN EMOTION REGULATION and INTIMACY and MARITAL SATISFACTION.
