RELATIONSHIP AMONG PERSONALITY DISORDERS WITH PSYCHOLOGICAL SYMPTOMS AND ACADEMIC SELF-EFFICACY IN STUDENT

Abstract

 The aim of the present study is to determine of relationship PERSONALITY DISORDERS with PSYCHOLOGICAL SYMPTOMS and ACADEMIC SELF-EFFICACY in student. The research sample consisted of 765 who were selected from among the STUDENTS of Islamic Azad University Ardabil Branchthrough the random clustered method, and filled Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory, Brief PSYCHOLOGICAL SYMPTOMS Inventory and ACADEMIC SELF-EFFICACY Scale. Data was analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analyses. Results indicated that prevalence of PERSONALITY DISORDERS was 19.5% in all, 20.9% in women and 19.9% in men STUDENTS. The results of Pearson correlation coefficient indicated that there was meaningful correlation between PERSONALITY DISORDERS with PSYCHOLOGICAL SYMPTOMS and ACADEMIC SELF-EFFICACY. The results of multiple regression showed that disorders were explain 48 percent the variance in PSYCHOLOGICAL SYMPTOMS and 16 percent the variance in ACADEMIC SELF-EFFICACY (p<0.01). Results are support the prevalence of PERSONALITY DISORDERS and meaningful relationship between these disorders with PSYCHOLOGICAL SYMPTOMS and ACADEMIC SELF-EFFICACY in STUDENTS. These Results have important implications about prevention and therapy of STUDENTS with PERSONALITY DISORDERS.
