Abstract

Gradient analysis is a useful tool to analysis vegetation and In this analysis of LANDSCAPE METRICS are useful in the study of urban development. Accordingly, this study is aimed at using gradient analysis and LANDSCAPE METRICS, Urban green space changes over a five year period (1390-1385) reviewed and Forces behind these changes are identified. To this end, Tabriz, according to the nature of the processes that influence the use of green space facing the Has been selected as a case study. In this study, the use of satellite images and maps of the subject, the general analysis model of urban green space landscape was based on two metrics. Then, using two different sides of the transect, using a gradient analysis of LANDSCAPE METRICS and the moving window analysis was performed by FRAGSTATS. Thus, green space changes during the course of the study was to detect the causative forces. On this basis it appears that the economic value of land and urban management strategies of the most important changes are the green spaces of Tabriz.
