Title

THE QUALITY OF WORK LIFE AND BURNOUT AMONG TEACHERS AND PRINCIPALS IN TAKESTAN SCHOOLS

Abstract

 The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between the QUALITY OF WORK LIFE and burnout among school TEACHERS and PRINCIPALS in Takestan. The method of this research was descriptive (correlative). The examined group in this research were all 916 TEACHERS and principles in Takestan during 1387-88 school year. The method of sampling was simple random sampling classification through which 270 were selected. Data collection devices were two questionnaires, to scale QUALITY OF WORK LIFE and burnout. The instruments had a coefficient validity of 89% and 82% by use of Cronbakh alpha. Coefficient correlation, multi-variable regression, t-test, mono lateral variance analysis and scheffe were used to In order to analyze the data. The results showed that: There is a reversed and meaningful relationship between QUALITY OF WORK LIFE and burnout among TEACHERS and PRINCIPALS in Takestan schools with correlation intensity of r=-0/352. QUALITY OF WORK LIFE, adequate and fair compensation, social relevance of work life and total life space, respectively, had the most effects on burnout.
