Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design a model for Business Intelligence system (BIS) using a mixed approach. At First, reviewing historical researches, the metrics of Business Intelligence system are extracted. Following; the initial variables are evaluated and selected by qulaitative method and focus group. The population consists of commercial managers and experts in a mobile operator in Iran. As the members of population were available, then all population was the sample. Data gathered by questionnaire, and descriptive statistics and matrix of importance-performance are used for analysis. The results showed that the state of Business Intelligence system was medium but with different dimensions. Technological and Competitors Intelligence are in a relatively good level and Market Intelligence in a medium level. The state of Strategic Intelligence didn’ t have a good level. Based on importance-performance matrix, Technological, competitors and Market Intelligence were in thearea of Business Intelligence strengths but the key weakness was Strategic Intelligence.
