Abstract

 This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of E-LEARNING on MA students' skills in ACCESSING REQUIRED INFORMATION and the EVALUATION OF INFORMATION and its sources. The research method was quasi-experimental and the statistical population was all MA students of Islamic Azad University Tabriz branch in academic year 2011-2012 in six discipline as follows: Educational Planning, Curriculum Development, Educational Administration, General Psychology, Educational Psychology, and TEFL which included 766 individuals. The sample size was 46 students who were selected through non-random snowball sampling method. In this research, "Students' Self-Reporting Questionnaire of Information Literacy" was used that its validity and reliability was confirmed by content validity and Cronbach's alpha, respectively. According to pretest results, individuals were randomly assigned to two homogenous control and experimental groups. 20 tutorials were sent to experimental group via email within 9 weeks; and then a post-test examination was given. The results of the Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) showed that E-LEARNING has effect on students' skills in ACCESSING REQUIRED INFORMATION and the EVALUATION OF INFORMATION and its sources.
