Abstract

This research has been carried out to present a model for selecting rectors in ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY branches regarding the important managerial competencies and based on fuzzy Logic. The primary research framework has been compiled through the study of theoretical bases and implemented research. In order to present the model and identify the components of the optimal managerial competencies and gathering tha data, questionnaires were used. The statistical population include 209 people, using Morgan’n table and adjasted formula 100 people were chosen as the sample size, out of which 71 managers returned the questionnaires. The method of sampling was ratio stratified random sampling. The data were analyzed through paired comparisons based on AHP. So according to the final data from questionnaires the components of the optimal managerial competencies in ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY branches were identified. All studied competencies are necessary, but have different shares. In the selection process 13 important competencies were considered. The results showed the importance of strategic orientation, occupational credibility, communications, human resources and financial management that verifies more than 70% of required MANAGEMENT COMPETENCIES in branches. The maladjustment rate of the model was less than 1% so paired comparisons and obtained results were reliable.
