THE STUDY INVESTIGATES THE EFFECT OF USING EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARES ON LEARNING THE CONCEPTS OF PRE-MATHEMATICAL NUMBER OF PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN OF TABRIZ

Abstract

 The aim of the study investigates the effect of using EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE on learning the concept of pre-mathematical number which includes the followings: more–less, wide–narrow, short–tall, far–near, light–eavy, large–small, on preschool children in Tabriz, in 2010-2011. The statistical population was all the preschool children in Tabriz added to 10699 person out of which 50 students, through cluster random sampling was chose as sample size. Researcher made questionnaire with 36 questions (6 question for each opposite concept) was used to collect the data. The reliability of questionnaire was obtained through cronbach’s alpha which was 94%. A pre-test and post-test was implemented using EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE. The descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyse the data through SPSS software. The results showed that there was significant difference between pre-test and post-test. The learning status of those students who instruction through EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE was better.
