Abstract

This study investigated the effect of addressing public complaints and reports about I.R.I POLICE personnel on the protection and promotion of CITIZENSHIP RIGHTS. The research method is descriptive-survey and the data collection instruments were questionnaire and interview. The statistical population consists of 500 police staffs and the experts of complaint department of INSPECTION centers in provinces, and police special and independent units. 100 members of them were selected as the sample using stratified sampling method with proportional allocation. Relying on the theoretical bases, a questionnaire containing 15 relevant questions with research hypotheses was designed and after confirming its validity and reliability it was distributed among the sample participants. Finally, the obtained data were analyzed. The results indicated that addressing people's complaints and reports have a positive effect on the maintenance and promotion of CITIZENSHIP RIGHTS by police personnel. Preserving privacy in home INSPECTION, decreasing physical violence (assault) by the officers, and honoring customers by officers are in the first priority of the characteristics of maintenance and promotion of CITIZENSHIP RIGHTS.
