Abstract

The security and its establishment in the society is one of subjects that ever attracted by the men since formation of societies. The promotion and perception of this concept is dependent to the conscious and effective human force that is fulfilled by providing trainings in connection with Societal security concepts in the society. In the different countries particularly in our country, the schools and course contents may act as the best source for introducing, promoting and internalizing this subject. The objective of this study is to analyze the content of TEXTBOOKS of PRELIMINARY SCHOOL based on Societal security elements. The method used for analyzing the content is Shannon Entropy including three stages. The analysis unit is page (text, questions, practices and images) that altogether includes 3467 pages. The findings of this study indicated that the most frequency and significance factor is related to the element of observing the law and the least related to the effect of observing traffic regulations on security in the TEXTBOOKS. The TEXTBOOKSshould focus on the concepts related to security particularly SOCIAL SECURITY. But unfortunately the TEXTBOOKS have not raised this topic appropriately.
