Abstract

This paper presents an account of the RELIABILITY and VALIDITY of the ACADEMIC SELF REGULATION Questionnaire (SRQ-A). Four hundred students (213 boys, 187 girls) from the elementary schools of Shiraz city were included in this study. All participants were asked to complete the ACADEMIC SELF REGULATION Questionnaire (SRQ-A), Religious Self Regulation Questionnaire (SRQ-R), and Friendship Self Regulation Questionnaire (SRQ-F). Principal component factor analyses revealed that instead of the original four factor model, a two-factor model that assumes that all engagement items load on two factor fitted the data. Also there were significant correlations between Religious Self Regulation Questionnaire, Friendship Self Regulation Questionnaire and academic average with ACADEMIC SELF REGULATION Questionnaire. Cronbach’s alpha method and test- retest were used for testing RELIABILITY. The results, in general, suggest the RELIABILITY and factorial invariance of the SRQ-A in Iranian students elementary schools samples.
