Abstract

Statistics show that the OUTSOURCING in organizations is growing around the world. The most important reason is organizations’ focus on core activities and expertization activities. On the other hand, past experiences show that the armed forces are of the leading organizations in various scientific, technological, equipmental fields. Therefore, in order to improve the military effectiveness and achieve higher PRODUCTIVITY, these MILITARY ORGANIZATIONs have turned to OUTSOURCING. After giving definitions for OUTSOURCING, its advantages and disadvantages, various kinds of OUTSOURCING, OUTSOURCING category in MILITARY ORGANIZATIONs is considered in this study. To this end, the differences between the military and other organizations and the advantages and disadvantages of OUTSOURCING in the MILITARY ORGANIZATIONs have been evaluated and then, the main purpose of this paper which is presenting a Model and process for OUTSOURCING in MILITARY ORGANIZATIONs has been discussed. The mentioned model is described in five stages of “selecting the activities”, “decisions for OUTSOURCING”, “selecting the supplier”, “contracting” and “transport services” and then the considerations which should be noted by each MILITARY ORGANIZATION, is presented.
