Abstract

Introduction and Aim: CULTURAL AND ARTISTICAL NEEDS are meaningful, exalted, symbolic and qualitative, which are able to satisfy through cultural and artistical planning and activities. It is usually considered in attituds, talents, giving direction, exhilaration and skills’ areas. This research is to determine and compare the CULTURAL AND ARTISTICAL NEEDS of CITIZENS live in north, south and west of TEHRAN in different categories such as artistic and non-artistic training, show and play, festivals, films, cultural and artistic clubs, seminars, consultation’ book readings and publications.Methods: This is an Applied research which has gathered information through questionnaire and interviews. Statistical society consist of men and women over who live in south, North and west areas of TEHRAN. According to Cochran formula, sample size is determined 960 persons.Result: The CULTURAL AND ARTISTICAL NEEDS of CITIZENS who were in this study, proved that their residence in North, south and west areas has relation with cultural and artistic aspects and it also differs. Therefore, these needs could be ordered with priorities.Conclusion: Comparitive datas indicates significant differential between CITIZENS who live in south, north and west areas of TEHRAN. About their CULTURAL AND ARTISTICAL NEEDS, it would be explain by Spatial factor, in other word, spatial variance in these areas is able to affect on quantity and quality of talent variations and citizen's CULTURAL AND ARTISTICAL NEEDS.
