Abstract

 This research aims to assay the role of STORY TELLING at the Intellectual Nurturing Center of Kids & Teenagers (Kanoune Parvareshe Fekriye Koudakan va Nojavanan or KPF) on protecting and strengthening their cultural identity amongst the instructors. Questionnaires were handed out and the research was done through the descriptive research method. The researcher has initially defined culture, identity and various viewpoints of cultural values; then, has studied the effect of mending cultural symbols and social & geographical standards on culture formation and eventually studies how Iran’s Culture and STORY TELLING has effected the extent of carrying and maintaining Iran’s cultural heritage through generations. The results show that the research hypotheses are correct and that the activities done by the Intellectual Nurturing Center of Kids & Teenagers (KPF) positively affect their cultural identity by taking notice of religious beliefs, cultural values, legends, cultural heritage and cultural & geographical symbols.
