Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to compare personality disorder of CLUSTER C in couples applying for divorce and normal people. The research was descriptive, causal-comparative. The study population consisted of men and women applying for divorce in Urmia during 2010, who referred to the offices in two groups (33 males and 33 females)and normal men and women, (33 male, and 33 women), who continged their married life. In fact, 66 experimental subjects (33 males and 33 females) and 66 ordinary couples (33 male and 33 female) were selected according to age and education. In this study, to collect divorce - applicant couples wereselected by available sampling. Also, purposeful sampling was used to select normal people. The data were collected using Millon Clinical Multi-axial Inventory and were analyzed using two-tailed analysis of variance with SPSS version 16. The results showed that there is a significant difference between applicants for divorce and normal people regording CLUSTER C PERSONALITY DISORDERS. Also, there is no significant difference between men and women with regard to CLUSTER C PERSONALITY DISORDERS.
