Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the QUALITY OF WORKING LIFE of Tabriz female high school teachers. The research was a survey, and the statistical population consisted of all female high school teachers in Tabriz in the year 2011-2012, totalling 6216. The simple size based on Cochran’s formula was 175.The subjects were selected by simple random sampling method. The data collection tool was a researcher – made questionnaire, the validity and reliability of which were confirmed by content validity and Cronbach’s Alpha, respectively. In order to analyze the data, statistical methods such as Pearson Correlation Coefficient, t test, F test, and Friedman’s non – parametric test were used. The results showed that the quality of the teachers’ working life is average, but from the viewpoint of fair wages and benefits, opportunities for growth and creativity and integration and social cohesion in the organization, it has been lower than average. Frideman’s test results also showed that there are differences between the components of QUALITY OF WORKING LIFE of teachers. That is, the lowest quality is related to the FAIR PAY and the highest quality is related to social dependence.
