Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the ATTITUDE of the female students of azad university-shiraz branch to their BODY MANAGEMENT. The theoretical basis of the research is the approach’s of Anthony godden’s and mike Featherstone. The research method is survey and the population are all female students who studied in 2011 at azad university of shiraz. The sample were counted with the help of LIN formula and war 370 persons. The data were collected by questionnaire instrument and the method of data collection was a random sample. The validity of the research has been determined by method of face validity and the reliability of research calculated with the help of cronbach’s alpha formula. The conclusions of the study showed that there is a relationship between CONSUMERISM, self acquired identity, pleasure-seeking, LIFESTYLE, social acceptance, media consumption, social and economical facilities, social expectancy, fashion tendency, income and the BODY MANAGEMENT. A relationship could not be found between age, degree programs, job run during college, marriage situation and BODY MANAGEMENT.
