Title

OPHIOLITIC MASS, THE BED OF RARE ELEMENTS

Pages

  165-174

Abstract

Ophiolits are a complex of basic and ultra basic stones formed crust of old oceans. These crusts were broken by the tectonic activities, especially in the end of CRETACE and mixed with oceanic bed sediment. This mixture is also called opilit opiomelange or COLOUREDMELANGE.The chemical combination of their MAGMA caused OPHIOLITIC stones which is full of heavy minerals and rare elements. In deed, these stones are bed of Iran's rare minerals including gold, chromite, platinum, asbestos, etc. which have high economic value.
