THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GROUND SUBSIDENCE AND GROUNDWATER LEVEL DROP IN GHARE-BOLAGH PLAIN (FARS PROVINCE)

Abstract

 Population growth and agricultural technology, use of GROUNDWATER resources capacity of some parts of Iran has had to follow. Consequence of this phenomenon, the LAND SUBSIDENCE in some parts of the country is. Including areas that had suffered subsidence, GHARE-BOLAGH PLAIN in FASA of FARS PROVINCE is in this research as a case study. During recent years, LAND SUBSIDENCE, has led to damage to facilities in this plain is particularly agriculture pomp stations. Unit hydrograph data and changes in the size of the water aquifer storage and evidence obtained by referring to statistical data, using Excel software were analyzed and field observations show that water level underground during the study period of 28.60 m and annual rate 2.38 meter drop every year is a reliable figure subsidence count rate is unity. In the other hand, 260 cm the level of GROUNDWATER decreased per year and 11.8 cm level plain Ghare-Bolagh is subsidence. Top remaining layer of metal rods deep wells, exploratory wells height rods sometimes by more than 1.5 meter during 11 years and horizontal and vertical fissures in building wall directly indicates the amount of surface subsidence is plain.
