The results showed that NURSES JOB STRESS in transformational and transactional LEADERSHIP STYLE from NURSES’ perspective was low. Transformational LEADERSHIP STYLE with JOB STRESS (r=-0.35, P<0.001) and transactional LEADERSHIP STYLE with JOB STRESS had a significant negative correlation (r=-0.32, P<0.001).Conclusion: Concerning the negative relationship between transactional and transformational LEADERSHIP STYLE with JOB STRESS, appropriate LEADERSHIP STYLEs of nurse managers could result in reduction of stress. It is recommended that nurse managers use transformational and transactional LEADERSHIP STYLEs. Managers also need to reduce stress-causing situations.
