Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to survey the viewpoints of Tehran Islamic Azad University MLIS students about Iranian LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE WEBLOGS.Method: The method of this research is survey. Gathering information tools is a questionnaire made by the researcher. 144 questionnaire were e-mailed to the students. The analysis of information was done by SPSS software.Findings: According to the achieved result: there is a high level of familiarity between these students with WEBLOGS (70 percent), the correlation between the librarianship WEBLOGS and the student’s information needs is (66 percent) and also these WEBLOGS have an increasing effect on the student’s specific knowledge (79 percent).The following items were evaluated at low level: The student’s motivation for using WEBLOGS is (43 percent), the positive points of WEBLOGS (36 percent).Conclusion: Finally, the knowledge and information science students are satisfied moderately with the Iranian LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE WEBLOGS .At the end some suggestions for improving the positive points of WEBLOGS are offered.
