Abstract

Urbanization is from the obvious specialties of the twentieth century that attempting to make the citizens welfare and solve their problems. The last decades of the twentieth century also saw the emergence of postMODERNISM's philosophical approach and sustainable development paradigm. PostMODERNISM and sustainable development paradigm affected on various sciences programs. Urbanization and URBAN PLANNING to reconsider in his plans against modern practice. This research is descriptive - analytical method and written according historical documents. Studies show that paradigm change from MODERNISM to postMODERNISM and caused a greater focus on social issues and plans. In modern urbanism was prepared Comprehensive Plans and noted on land use and zoning. The new paradigm has replaced the Structural - Strategic and City Development Strategy (CDS) designs with comprehensive plans. Postmodern urbanism followed attracts public participation for designing in city environments. URBAN PLANNING new patterns emphasis on interdisciplinary management and socio - economic conditions for planning in cities. So the postmodern paradigm added new principles from community-based to physical planning in cities.
