Abstract

This article aims to find the relationship between the INDIVIDUAL-SOCIAL CHARACTERISTICS of the PERSONNEL and their JOB SATISFACTION. The statistical population consists of 380 staff members of mohaghegh Ardebili University, and the sample size is 202 which is taken by stratified random sampling. The data related to the INDIVIDUAL-SOCIAL CHARACTERISTICS have been gathered by using a researcher-devised questionnaire, and the questionnaire relating to the JOB SATISFACTION is of the standard type. The obtained results showed that there is a meaningful relationship between the variables of individual- social characteristics and JOB SATISFACTION (p<0.001). Among the studied variables, there is a stronger relationship between the variable of job experience and discrimination at work, and JOB SATISFACTION. Based on the obtained results and with regard to the coefficient and the intensity of the relationship between the INDIVIDUAL-SOCIAL CHARACTERISTICS and JOB SATISFACTION, some suggestions have been presented.
