Abstract

Today, EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE is considered as a significant component in learning and intelligence, and development in EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE growth is a key element in learning and teaching. Emotions are the most powerful factors in determining formation, action, decision, setting personal boundaries, and communicating with others. Since EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE is acquired, its importance in EDUCATIONal planning seems necessary. In order to achieve this goal, the present study is to evaluate the STUDENTS of medical record to measure the average EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE of the comprehensive community and to do necessary actions for its development. In this study, 51 medical record STUDENTS (37 girls and 14 boys) were selected by stratified cluster sampling. Type of this study is descriptive-sectional and the instrument used for measurement is Daniel Goleman's EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. The study findings indicated that 45.1% had optimal EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, 21.6% had average EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and 33.3% had low EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. These results indicate that in planning EDUCATIONal goals, emotional area needs more attention.
