Abstract

Risky behaviors are potentially destructive behaviors that people, voluntarily or without being aware of its possible undesirable consequences commit them. This concept is affected by social and personel factors. In this article, it is attempted to address the role of EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and its dimensions on intentional high-risky behaviors of DRIVERS.The method of study was a survey and the measurement tool was a close questionnaire. The statistical population includes the whole youth in East Azerbaijan. They were chosen through Cochran formula and the cluster sampling method. After collecting the data, they were analyzed through SPSS Software. To test the hypotheses, based on the level of variables, we used the Pearson correlation test and multiple regression analysis.According to the findings, there was a significant reverse correlation between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and intentional risky behaviors of DRIVERS. Based on regression results, remaining variables in the model could explain 31.8% of intentional risky behavior variance.
