RELIGIOUS IDENTITY AND EFFECTIVE SOCIAL FACTORS (CASE STUDY: YASUJ UNIVERSITY STUDENTS)

Abstract

 Objectives: This survey intends to elucidate the effective SOCIAL FACTORS on RELIGIOUS IDENTITY of YASOUJ UNIVERSITY STUDENTS. Method: The method of the present study is survey method and statistical community of this research included YASOUJ UNIVERSITY STUDENTS. Questionnaire is distributed among 394 students and SPSS software is used to analyze the data. Cronbach, s alpha coefficient is used to analyze the validity of the research. Results: The results of the research indicate no significant relationship between RELIGIOUS IDENTITY of students and variables like “parents job”, ”fathers education”, ”living place”. there is a significant relationship between RELIGIOUS IDENTITY of students and variables such as “mothers education”, “friends religious attitudes”, “family’s religious attitudes” and “free studies” (none pedagogical studies). There is no significant relationship between basic variables (population studies) such as “age”, “marriage” and dependent variable of RELIGIOUS IDENTITY. There is a significant relation between basic variable of “gender” and RELIGIOUS IDENTITY. Analyzes of multivariate regression indicate five following variables can predict 31% of dependent variable of RELIGIOUS IDENTITY: “friends religious attitudes”, “mothers education”, “family’s religious attitudes”. “Age”, “gender”. Conclusion: The authors of the survey conclude the families and friend’s religious attitudes are the most important and effective factors on UNIVERSITY STUDENTS RELIGIOUS IDENTITY.
