Abstract

Objectives: The study of Islamic units in the university is the last chance of students to have a classic and academic experience of spiritual and religious issues in their academic life. Therefore, elaborating these units, their documents, qualities and teaching methods, are necessary from various aspects. The aim of this article is to show that compiling and collecting strategic documents for these units is a serious necessity.Method: Statistical population included all students of faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and, Pharmacology at the Uremia University of Medical Sciences in the basic level (N= 250). Of these, 235 sheets of questionnaires were collected and analyzed. The data were collected using a questionnaire which had been made by the author. Cronbach Alpha coefficient was considered as 0.795. Results: The analysis revealed that the Islamic studies units are very important if they are organized based on their beliefs and scientific needs and also, they are presented by academic stuff exhibiting scientific and methodic merits. Moreover, the findings show that collecting an extensive strategic document by which the approach of organizing these texts and documents of workshops of academic stuff skills has got the highest priority.Conclusions: Results show that the place of academic stuff of Islamic teachings at the universities needs more considerations with respect to their professional merits, i.e., scientific, educational, research abilities and teaching skills. In this regard, Islamic teachings' texts, curriculums in the various titles, require more harmony in their vertical and horizontal relationships.
