Comparison Career plateau and its related factors among Among Faculty Members of Sciences and Humanities Universities of Iran

Abstract

 Purpose Issue and Purpose Plateauing is static and stagnant. That is, the person neither teaches nor extends his competences. The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of job burnout among faculty members. This survey study was conducted in Tehran, Ahwaz and Yasuj in the year 1977 with a sample of 497 faculty members. The standard criteria for ranking universities are the rating system of the last two years of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (2016). According to Spider Charts and Friedman test, Scientific Socialization, organizational culture, content Plateauing, subjective Plateauing and organizational justice are the most influential factors in jobless Plateau in three universities. The formulated structural equation model also obtained optimal fit indices. According to the fit indices, all the assumptions are in line with the empirical model of research and confirm the facts in the statistical population of the theoretical model. In terms of occupational Plateau (content and subjective Plateau), the members of the two Basic Sciences and humanities are different, so it is necessary to pay attention to the variations within and outside of the departments. Although the academic environment, teaching situation, and promotion concerns in universities face many challenges, the continuity of which can reduce the efficiency and mental happiness of faculty members in the academic environment.
