Abstract

The rapid growth of multimedia and global networks, has provided new ways to convey information to students. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of course preparation and production of advanced materials in the fields of ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION. Experimental Group had the advanced training course materials produced the first semester of the academic through the Internet, and none experimental group had face-to-face training. At the end of the training period, both groups had the same exam on the subject matter. A quasi-experimental method (pre-test, post-test) Was used. Sample consisted of two groups comprised of 30 senior students majoring in virtual and traditional learning environment at Payamenoor Tehran. Instrument consisted of a questionnaire which its validity was approved by the experts. Reliability coefficient alpha of 0.74 was obtained. Findings revealed that experimental average test scores was m1=10.88, and non experimental test scores average was m2=8.85. Therefore, there was no significant difference between the two groups. It is concluded that the production of teaching materials can be developed for ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION course without compromising the quality of education.
