Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between utilization of computer GAMEs and spatial abilities among students. Research method is correlation method. The populations consisted of 300 high school male students of Shahriyar city and were selected through multi-stage cluster sampling. Data gathering tools consisted of a researcher made questionnaire (to collect information about the use of computer GAMEs) and Newton and Bristol SPATIAL ABILITY to test the reliability 0.85. Data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results showed that: There was a meaningful relationship between the use of computer GAMEs and SPATIAL ABILITY. Also there was a meaningful relationship between the use of computer GAMEs and sub factors of SPATIAL ABILITY such as spatial perception, mental rotation and spatial visualization.
