Abstract

Background and aims: TRIAGE is the most important practice of EMERGENCY nurse. Success in this function establish NURSES' situation in this ward. This study was an attempt to evaluate the effect of TRIAGE education based on STABILIZATION MODEL on NURSES' satisfaction in EMERGENCY.Methods: In this clinical trial quasi experimental study, 34 male NURSES who were responsible for TRIAGE in the EMERGENCY department of selected military hospital in 2013 entered in the study and their JOB SATISFACTION recorded before intervention. TRIAGE training did by using teaching aids tools, such as slides and pamphlet, also face to face training with the Presence of the researcher for one week. Then, satisfaction of all NURSES was evaluated after intervention.Results: NURSES’ JOB SATISFACTION increased after intervention based on STABILIZATION MODEL. NURSES' satisfaction before intervention was 68.00±13.00 and after intervention, increased 71.44±11.80 (P≤0.05). Significant difference was between satisfaction, marriage and work history.Conclusion: TRIAGE education considers as an effective factor on the NURSES' JOB SATISFACTION. Therefore, TRIAGE education emphasizes for EMERGENCY NURSES in their specific field.
