Abstract

 To investigate the determinants of aggressive behavior in adolescent boys of Bandar Abbas, 243 high school students were selected by multistage random sampling. Participants were asked to complete Snyder and Gangsted 18 items SELF-MONITORING Scale (1986), Noodargah 35 items AFFECTIVE FAMILY CLIMATE Questionnaire (1373), YaAhmadi 40 items LIFE SKILLs (1386) and Buss and Perry 29 items AGGRESSION Questionnaire (1972). The obtained data were analyzed by the correlation matrix and correlation coefficient of multiple regressions. The results showed that SELF-MONITORING, AFFECTIVE FAMILY CLIMATE, and LIFE SKILLs are considered a good model for the prediction of AGGRESSION in adolescent boys, so that the model could explain 62.1% of the variance in AGGRESSION among high school students. The results also showed that the AFFECTIVE FAMILY CLIMATE, LIFE SKILLs, and SELF-MONITORING are significantly associated with the occurrence of AGGRESSION in adolescents.
