Abstract

Nowadays mass media plays different roles in social life and consequently affects the audiences in various ways. On the other hand, different social and cultural groups have various patterns in their MEDIA CONSUMPTION. The present study uses a survey method and its statistical population includes the employed WOMEN in Tehran. It evaluates the correlation between demographic variables such as age, education and social status and the MEDIA CONSUMPTION. According to the findings, the MEDIA CONSUMPTION has no meaningful correlation with age, but it had significant relationship with social status and education level.
