Abstract

Introduction: This research was aimed at surveying the relationship between attachment, selfconcept and LONELINESS in the secondary school students of Eastern Bandpey, Babol, Iran.Methods: The study was descriptive and correlation in which 278 students (139 girls and 139 boys) participated by filling out Hazan and Shaver Interest Style Questionnaire, Rogers Self-Concept Scale and UCLA LONELINESS Scale. The data were analyzed using the statistical technique of regression.Results: The results showed that there was a meaningful relationship between attachment and feeling style, but there was no relationship between ATTACHMENT STYLE and SELF-CONCEPTION. There was also a significant inverse relationship between SELF-CONCEPTION and LONELINESS.Conclusion: ATTACHMENT STYLE was a stronger predictor of LONELINESS than SELF-CONCEPTION.
