Abstract: 

Introduction: This research was aimed at surveying the relationship between attachment, selfconcept and loneliness in the secondary school students of Eastern Bandpey, Babol, Iran.Methods: The study was descriptive and correlation in which 278 students (139 girls and 139 boys) participated by filling out Hazan and Shaver Interest Style Questionnaire, Rogers Self-Concept Scale and UCLA Loneliness Scale. The data were analyzed using the statistical technique of regression.Results: The results showed that there was a meaningful relationship between attachment and feeling style, but there was no relationship between attachment style and self-conception. There was also a significant inverse relationship between self-conception and loneliness.Conclusion: Attachment style was a stronger predictor of loneliness than self-conception.

Abstract: 

Introduction: the purpose of present study was to Predict love style by attachment style in married students of Roudehen University.Methods: The type of this research was correlation method. Data were collected from150 students of Rudehen, Damavand Islamic Azad University. The subjects were selected by using available sampling. The instruments for gathering data were adult attachment scale (RAAS, Colins & Read, and 1990), identity style scale (ISI, Berzonsky, 1989) and love style scale (LAS, Hendrick, 1986). The data were analyzed by statistical methods of Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regressions.Results: the results indicated positive significant relation (p<0.01) between attachment style and love style subscale (Eros, storge, mania, agape love). Multiple Regressions showed that among subscales of love style, with the presence of attachment style we can predict changes on love styles.Conclusion: These findings have important implications for clinical psychologies and counselors. According to these findings, each dimension of love style was predicted by different attachment style.

Abstract: 

Domestic violence is an instance of aggressive behavior with a host of physical, psychological, economic, and sexual aspects. It is a top priority due to its significant effects on women's health.Purpose: This study examined the impact of life skills training on marital adjustment of women for the prevention of domestic violence.Method: This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest and posttest design. It was performed on 94 women supported by Imam Khomeini Relief Committee in Ardabil, Iran, in 2015. The subjects were randomly selected. The data collection instruments included demographic data and Rosenberg’s self-esteem questionnaires. Educational intervention was designed as three educational sessions lasting 120 minutes each.45 days after the intervention, the second test was administered.Funding: Before the intervention, the mean score of marital adjustment was 5.29 which significantly increased to 6.64 after the intervention (P<0.001). The linear regression analysis showed a significant relationship between life skills training and marital adjustment after the educational program. There was a significant relationship between the level of violence before the intervention and after that (P<0.001).Results: Life skills education is effective in increasing marital adjustment and reducing violence against women.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Chronic usage of drug has a significant effect on the structure of cognition and personality. It causes changes that make the possibility of usage abstinence difficult over the time. The present study was conducted with the aim of examining the relationship between anxiety and usage craving index.Methods: The design of the present study was correlational in the form of descriptive design.Among the men who referred to 3 Methadone Treatment Clinics in Tehran during May to September 2014, 80 individuals who had the highest and the lowest scores considering the cut-off in Beck's Anxiety Test, were selected as participants and were assigned into two groups for comparison. To make sure of the process of usage abstinence in participants, urine test was done accidently twice in a week and the samples were analyzed using fast test strip based on immunochromatography with the threshold of 300 ng/ml. Beck's Anxiety Questionnaire and Usage Craving Questionnaire were completed by the participants. Data were analyzed using independent t test, chi square and Pierson correlation. Also, qualitative data resulted from demographic evaluations were coded and were analyzed using the tool of analyzing qualitative data, Atlas.ti-5.2.Findings: The results showed anxious participants showed higher levels of usage craving symptoms compared to the participants of the other group. The mean and standard deviation (Confidence Interval of 0.95) of usage craving variable in anxious group are 12.93 (±3.27) and in non-anxious group are 9.73 (±2.24), (P<0.01). Also, a positive significant relationship was seen between the anxiety index and usage craving (all P=0.01, r=0.41).Conclusion: Anxiety can act as a mediator in the process of relapse, therefore, it deserves clinical attentions. The findings of the present study, in addition to have practical aspects, can be useful in planning complementary therapeutic processes.

Abstract: 

Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of group mindfulness-based cognitive therapy in cognitive emotion regulation for patients with type-2 diabetes.Method: This study was a quasi-experimental research. Its research plan was in the form of two-group method (control and experimental groups) and included three stages: pre-test, post-test, and follow-up. The statistical population included all male and female patients aged between 30 and 50 in Tabriz in 2015, who received the diagnosis of type-2 diabetes. Using available sampling method, a sample of 24 patients was selected and randomly assigned to both experimental and control groups. Individuals in the experimental group received group therapeutic intervention in 8 sessions (60 to 90 minutes), and those in the control group received no intervention. Before the intervention, at the end of the meetings, and at the one month follow-up, both groups completed the cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire (CERQ). The data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance.Results: The results showed there is a significant difference between the two groups in terms of the use of cognitive emotion regulation strategies at the post-test and follow-up stages.Discussion: Although the drugs and lifestyle changes are the main pillars of modern treatment in diabetes management, the impact of psychological factors on the lives of people with various diseases has been proven. Therefore, the increase in general health and proper management of diabetes occurs when the psychological component is added to the medication. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy increases the use of adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies as psychosocial issues raised in this disease.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Marital happiness is one of the most important factors of marital relationship quality. It shows the degree of couples´ happiness regarding different aspects of their relation.It could be said that, more marital happiness indicates less marital conflicts and dissatisfaction. Regarding ongoing increasing of marital conflicts and divorce, using effective interventions is necessary for improving the quality of marital relationship.Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of cognitive-behavioral couple therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy on marital happiness of the couples who are not satisfied with their relationship.Method: The method of this research was single-subject design. The study was carried out based on multiple baselines with an initiation of treatment. Sampling procedure of the study was convenience. Considering inclusion criteria, six couples were randomly assigned in two experimental groups. Independent variables were cognitive-behavioral couple therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy that were presented in six sessions. The research instrument was Marital Happiness Questionnaire.Results: Based on significant differences between the intervention and baseline situations, the results showed that cognitive-behavioral couple therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy have increased marital happiness. Also the results of the Repeated Measures Anova showed that there are no significant differences between the effects of these two therapies on increasing of marital happiness.Conclusion: cosidering these results, couple therapists can use the effective interventions of theses two therapeutic methods to increase marital happiness of couples especially those who have experienced some kind of dissatisfaction in their relations.

Abstract: 

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the effect of schema therapy in reducing aggression and social anxiety in adolescents of Hamadan city aged 17 to 18 years.Method: This is a semi-experimental study with multistage cluster sampling method. The population of the study consisted of 3, 000 secondary school students in District 1 of Hamadan. In the first stage of sampling, between the two regions of education in the city of Hamadan one was randomly selected. In the next phase, of all secondary schools in the area one was randomly selected and 32 patients were selected from among the students of this school. The Buss-Perry Aggression Scale and the Social Anxiety Scale of adolescents was conducted on students.16 students were placed in the experimental group and control group and the experimental group received the independent variable (Schema Therapy) for 10 sessions. Each session was 60 minute long.Findings: The results showed that schema therapy was an effective way to reduce physical aggression (P=0.05, F=20.3), verbal aggression (P=0.05, F=16.6), anger (P=0.05, F=104.5), hostility (P=0.05, F=7.2) and social anxiety (P=0.05, F=8.9).Conclusion: result show the significant effect schema therapy on aggression and social anxiety in adolescents aged 17 to 18 years in Hamadan city.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Dyslexia is a condition in which the reading achievement, lower than the extent that it can be in terms of age, education and IQ scores than he had expected. The failure of a barrier to academic achievement or daily activities involve reading it. One of the most important factors that dyslexia is related to phonological awareness, which can be accurate and fluent reading of influence.Objective: The present study was aimed to determine the effectiveness phonological awareness training on speed- reading in students with dyslexia.Materials & Methods: In this randomized clinical trail. boy dyslexic students (30) were selected randomly from 2 and 4 districts of Learning Disabilities Centers in Isfahan city.They were assigned to experimental and control groups separately based (15 individuals in each group). All students answered to Questionnairenilipour and shirazi dyslexia before and after training. Experimental groups participated in10 training sessions (twice a week; 60 minutes per session) and received psychological awareness training program but control group did not. All the students were evaluated at the end of the thirtieth session and two months later Test again. The data were analyzed by using analysis of covariance.Results: The results showed that phonological awareness training has significantly increased speed- reading of experimental group in comparison to control group even after 2 months.Conclusion: It seems that the application of phonological awareness training can increase the speed of dyslexic students along with the other training and rehabilitation programs.
