Abstract

organizational culture is an issue that has been newly introduced into the field of social sciences in general (including sociology, psychology, management, economics, etc. ) and organizational behavior specifically. This issue is of great importance in I. R. of Iran due to the high value of culture. This type of culture is purposeful and guiding and inspires the other layers. Therefore, it is natural to be sensitive to the organizational culture underlying all organizations and specifically the police force organization. This article aims to develop strategies for enhancing organizational culture according to the Iranian-Islamic model. The data for the current research were gathered by a mix method study through both qualitative and quantitative techniques. The identification of the current status of NAJA culture, its strengths and also identification of opportunities and risks are among the topics dealt with in this study. The results show that the organizational culture of NAJA is a religious one. This organization is also influenced by lawful organizational culture and idealistic culture can be traced in NAJA as well. However, NAJA is far from a transcendentalist and transformational culture. The identified strategies for enhancing organizational culture are of three types: 1) focusing on promotional, educational and training activities; 2) process improvement; and 3) structure improvement.
