Abstract

Purpose: Most spinal cord injured patients require accessory equipments for ejaculation which one of them is Electro ejaculation. Unfortunately, despite the sufficient number and volume of sperm, there is disorder in quality of sperm. In the article sperm motility, one of the quality disorders, has been evaluated. Material and Methods: In this research, the results of spermogram of spinal cord injured patients due to war were evaluated during the years of 1993-1998 in Kosar Infertility Center. Result: Not only the percentage of motile sperm but also the quality of motility (high grade motility) was lower than normal limit.Conclusion: Sperms were obtained by Electro ejaculation in patients with SPINAL CORD INJURY, have not satisfactory motility which could be one reason of low fertility rate in these patients and require more study to find the cause.
