Abstract

The aim of this RESEARCH is studying the relation of some personal and organisational multi-variable with the amount of scientific and RESEARCH activities in order to present a model for predicting these activities for the teachers of Gilan province. The sample of this RESEARCH consists of 400 teachers of different educational levels in Gilan province who were chosen by a multi-stage sampling. The data has been collected by a scholar-made questionnaire including 47 questions. It was analysed by independent statistical T-test, Spearman and Pierson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis.According to the results of this RESEARCH, seven variables such as knowing scientific methodology, the accessibility to the data sources, beliefs and personal interests, the amount of money earned from the activities, teachers’ gender, the involvement with personal and family problems and the level of teaching are the important variables to predict the scientific and RESEARCH activities of the teachers.The findings show that there is a positive and meaningful relation between the predictor variables and criterion variable whereas there is a negative and meaningful relation between the variable of level of teaching and criterion variance.
