Title

A STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COGNITIVE SELF EVALUATION SKILLS OF FACULTY MEMBERS AND QUALITY OF STUDENTS' EVALUATION AMONG PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES IN THE CITY OF ISFAHAN

Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between EVALUATION SKILLS/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank">COGNITIVE SELF EVALUATION SKILLS of FACULTY MEMBERS, and quality of STUDENTS EVALUATION among public universities in the city of Isfahan in the academic year 1387-88.The subjects of the study were 82 FACULTY MEMBERS (59 males and 23 females) and 820 STUDENTS (468 males and 352 females). The instruments used were the Met-cognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) which was distributed among FACULTY MEMBERS, and the Teaching Performance Questionnaire (TPQ) which was completed by STUDENTS of the selected FACULTY MEMBERS. The results showed that there were significant correlations between the cognitive self-evaluation scale scores and the EVALUATION of STUDENTS scale scores (P<0/01). The difference between FACULTY MEMBERS of public universities in the city of Isfahan was also significant in both the cognitive self-evaluation and EVALUATION of STUDENTS scales (P<0.01). In addition, results of the regression analysis showed that cognitive self-evaluation scale scores explain 0/013 percent of variance in EVALUATION of STUDENTS (P<0.01).
